Problem Statement

Gardening is an enriching hobby, but many individuals struggle with sourcing quality organic materials, finding reliable gardening tips, or managing their gardening activities effectively. Existing platforms either focus on a specific aspect, such as plant identification or garden layout, but fail to provide a comprehensive solution for all gardening needs. This fragmented experience leaves users searching across multiple platforms, leading to frustration and inefficiency.

Methodology Choices

To ensure Garden Hub met user expectations, the following methodologies were chosen:

  1. User Surveys: Conducted to identify pain points in existing gardening apps and prioritize features for Garden Hub.

    • Insight: Users expressed frustration with scattered resources and difficulty finding organic products.

    • Impact: These findings guided the creation of a centralized hub for gardening essentials.

  2. Usability Testing: Iterative tests were run on wireframes to refine navigation and feature placement.

    • Insight: Users preferred a streamlined homepage with quick access to tools and tips.

    • Impact: Simplified the navigation bar and added prominent quick-action buttons.
